Julia Grabher from Vorarlberg meets American Sloane Stephens in the first round of the WTA tournament in Cleveland in preparation for the US Open. Austria’s number one has never played against the former third in the world rankings.
Stephens is currently in 38th place in the ranking, Grahber is 54th. “The abdominal muscle strain that I suffered when I won the tournament in Gran Canaria is on the mend,” said Grabher on Facebook. She hopes that she can prove herself in Cleveland and get going well for the US Open.
