Golden State Warriors GM Mike Dunleavy Sets Priorities for 2023-24 NBA Season: Extensions for Steve Kerr and Klay Thompson

The Golden State Warriors have made many moves to help Stephen Curry in the 2023-24 NBA season, but Mike Dunleavy is already thinking about next steps.

After leaving a lot to be desired last year, the Golden State Warriors they are putting Stefano Curry able to succeed in 2023-24 NBA season. Mike Dunley he won’t have an easy job replacing Bob Myers, but he’s done interesting things.

Shortly after being promoted as general manager, he pulled off a blockbuster trade that sent Jordan Poole to the Washington Wizards for veteran guard Chris Paul. Additionally, Dunleavy has tied Draymond Green in a long-term extension.

Additionally, the Dubs rotation will also have new faces next season, including Dario Saric. Dunleavy knows there’s still a lot to take care of, but… has already set its next priorities.

Those are guys we definitely want to lock up moving forward.” Dunleavy said to Steve Kerr e Klay Thompson on the Dubs Talk podcast. “He’s been a big part of what we’ve done here and I think they can still contribute, especially Klay on the court. Steve, one of the best, if not the best coach in the league.

“AS, high level of priority in terms of getting those guys done. We will see. Obviously, there’s always a financial component and the kids want to be here and all that. We really appreciate them and hope we can work things out. We have had good conversations and I think we will continue to do so. Optimistic that we can work things out with both of those guys.

Both have played a huge part in their success this century, so it makes sense that the team have the contract situation in mind. Unless something weird happens, this shouldn’t be a problem for the Warriors.
