Partizan Belgrade signed former NBA guard PJ Dozier to a one-year deal, the Serbian team announced. This is Dozier’s first venture outside the US in his professional career after spending six seasons in the NBA.

“This is my first time leaving the United States, so I was a little nervous at first,” Dozier said. “However, since he had only heard good things about the city, nervousness quickly turned into excitement. I heard about the club and that it was the best place to play with the best coach, so I am very happy to play for such a club and such a coach.”

From 2017 to 2023, Dozier recorded 136 NBA appearances with the Oklahoma City Thunder, Boston Celtics, Denver Nuggets, and Sacramento Kings. He had his best season in 2020-21 with Denver, scoring 7.7 points and 3.6 rebounds.

He becomes the third addition so far in the summer of 2023 after Mateusz Ponitka and guard Ognjen Jaramaz.
