Enzo Pérez is the great idol of this Martín Demichelis River team. His eight titles in Núñez, including the mythical Copa Libertadores won against Boca in Madrid, and his courage to occupy the goal when the team was affected by Covid-19, placed him in the Olympus of Millionaire references. Y in the 5-1 win over Barracas Central, the captain received a warm visit at the end.
He took Enzo Pérez’s shirt, but did not have a happy ending
Yael Falcón Pérez had whistled the end at the Monumental. The Millionaire and Guapo soccer players greeted each other in the middle of the field. And while Enzo said goodbye to his rivals in a respectful manner, he received a visit from a boy from the stands. With Julián Álvarez’s No. 9 on his back, the youngster jumped onto the field from one of the seats closest to the pitch and went straight to look for River’s idol.
Enzo, understanding, received him with affection and gave him his number 24 shirt. The next act, the boy let the tears flow and, excited, he ran into the arms of his relatives who were waiting for him in the stands. During the 30 meters he ran, he carried Enzo’s jersey waving like a trophy. The one who did not receive a prize was Facundo Mater, who wanted to exchange a jacket with the man from Mendoza, but had to wait until he reached the tunnel to receive another.
Not everything was rosy. Neither for the boy, nor for his relatives. The security agent who was guarding that place received him without any problems and let him go back up to the audience. However, the man in charge of him (probably his father) had to present documentation and, surely, receive a sanction: it could be the right of admission for a while or the removal of the subscription. A shame.
