Every summer, the only leisure center in the Metropolis of Le Mans allows you to meet at the beach, a few minutes from the city.

At Lac de la Gèmerie, swimming is usually supervised until August 31, from 2 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. (and until 7:30 p.m. on Sundays).

The beach is ideal for enjoying the sun and the freshness of the lake!

Activities for children

On site, children can enjoy free activities (or with a contribution of 1 to 4 €).

The program includes: kayaking, sailing, paddle, beach soccer, archery.

A space for sportsmen and fishermen

The older ones can indulge in petanque, sports, on the fitness course or orienteering…

For hiking enthusiasts, it is possible to reach Allonnes on foot or by bike, crossing the Sarthe on a footbridge before following the river.
In the middle of a natural area of ​​30 hectares, the body of water is also very popular with fishermen.

La Guinguette enlivens the beach

It is possible to eat at the Guinguette de la Gèmerie, by the beach, which regularly organizes events, including concerts and dance evenings, karaoke…
The establishment is open Monday to Sunday, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The rules to follow

Access is prohibited to dogs (even on a leash), two-wheelers, riders and motor vehicles. It is forbidden to make fire, apart from collective barbecues.
Attention: cyclists, on the path by the lake (and the beach) are asked to get off their bikes and hold them in their hands, from June 15 to September 15.
