Peralta, a professional baseball player with 10 years of experience in the major leagues, played for the Los Angeles Dodgers last season. He had a batting average of .259, hit seven home runs, and had 55 runs batted in (RBIs) in 133 games.
On Monday, experienced outfielder David Peralta chose to end his minor league contract with the Chicago Cubs and is now a free agent.
Peralta spent the initial nine years of his career with the Arizona Diamondbacks before being traded to the Tampa Bay Rays during the 2022 deadline. Throughout 1,141 games, he has maintained a .279 batting average and has hit 117 home runs while recording 541 RBIs.
