Cycling World Cup: gold and world record for German team sprinters

The German team sprinters won their fourth world championship gold in a row at the cycling world championships in Glasgow in a new world record time. Pauline Grabosch, Emma Hinze and Lea Sophie Friedrich beat Great Britain in the final on Thursday with a time of 45.848 seconds, improving their own record.

China secured bronze in the small final against the Netherlands. The German team got their second medal at the start, Franziska Brausse had previously won silver in the individual pursuit.
