Coach Bima Sakti U-17 Indonesian National Team explained the results of a brief discussion with the U-17 Indonesian National Team trainer consultant Frank WormuthWednesday (2/8).

Bima Sakti said that in the early stages Frank Wormuth still wanted to see the capabilities of the U-17 Indonesian National Team.

However, Bima Sakti said Frank Wormuth acknowledged that the U-17 Indonesian National Team had good potential and had the ability to counterattack while on the field. However, this character still needs to be learned and honed.

“Frank said this organization is good, this afternoon we chatted a few, he said he wants to see what our players are capable of. How can it not be, he is a German with German methods,” said Bima Sakti after the Garuda United U-17 match against FC Barcelona Juvenil A in Bali , Wednesday (3/8), quoted from Antara.

“Yes [Frank Wormuth] we have to know the character of our players and earlier he said we have the ability to counter attack, where do you live and who is doing it,” Bima added.

Frank Wormuth himself is a new consultant for the U-17 Indonesian National Team who was immediately present at the inaugural trial match between the U-17 Indonesian National Team which used the name Garuda United U-17 against FC Barcelona Juvenil A at GOR Ngurah Rai Bali.

In that friendly match, the club from Barcelona managed to beat the U-17 Indonesian national team with a score of 3-0, but Bima Sakti does not want to mourn and will strive for better results in the next match.

“Yes, of course we want to win, but with a better process and preparation,” said Bima.

Furthermore, the U-17 Indonesian National Team will face against the academy of J-League club Kashima Antlers in a trial match at the Ngurah Rai Stadium, Denpasar, Bali, this coming Saturday (5/8).

“We are trying again with other players because there are still some who haven’t played before. We will also give them a chance because I get information that they are good players, there are several U-17s, there is the U-21 National Team. Anyway, it doesn’t matter, we are here, the most important thing is to work optimally there is no need to worry about the opposing team, what is important is that we can learn,” said Bima.

After PSSI selected the U-17 National Team in the regions, they have also succeeded in gathering 72 players, where they will be gathered and re-selected on the 15th August.

“I thank Asprov, Askot and Askab, then the League 1 clubs who facilitated in the regions. The data has been entered into us and our plan is to coordinate with PSSI on the 15th we will collect and select,” said Bima Sakti.
