Regarding the public prices of nursery schools for the 2023-2024 school year, the gratuity is extended for units of 1-2 years. As in the 2022-2023 academic year, said gratuity covered units of 2-3 years.
Such gratuity covers school hours from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Therefore, it does not include early risers, dining room and afternoon service, as regulated by the Junta de Castilla y León, which subsidizes said gratuity for the indicated school hours, a subsidy to which municipal nursery schools benefit.
The early bird service for all children will be 20 euros/month and the registration fee for units from 0-1 years will be 15 euros/month (both fees exempt from VAT).
For the subsidized units, the dining room and afternoon service, different quotas are established according to the income of the families, serving as reference modules, the guaranteed income of citizenship and the Iprem, these quotas oscillating between 8.50 euros/month and 80 euros/ month, in relation to the lowest and highest incomes respectively.
The monthly fee for non-free units (0-1 years) is subject to the same variation and would range from 25 euros/month to 235 euros/month based on family income.
Education and culture
During the Fair and Festivities of the Virgin of San Lorenzo, the Municipal Foundation of Culture will hold 5 concerts in the Patio of the Hospedería de San Benito and the Patio Herreriano Museum. As it is a space with limited capacity, a price for tickets of 5 euros is established, as approved unanimously by the Governing Council of the FMC in a session on July 19, 2023.
Sports
A total of eleven sports courses for schoolchildren will be held between October 2023 and May 2024 (badminton, baseball, fencing, rhythmic gymnastics, hockey, orienteering, paddle tennis, figure skating, speed skating, table tennis and archery).
The objective is to offer schoolchildren extracurricular sports activities not linked to a specific school, and promote their participation in municipal school games.
The total costs of the program amounted to 73,938 euros last season with income of 20,534 euros. The coverage rate has reached 27.7% with a total of 262 places covered out of the 394 requested.
