This Wednesday, August 9, the Caribbean Professional Baseball Confederation (CBPC) together with directors of the Miami Marlins – organization of Major League Baseball – to give details of the sports day of the Caribbean Series 2024 scheduled for February 2-10, 2024 at LoanDepot Park in the city of Miami.
The 66th edition of the Caribbean Series presents a historic moment, when for the first time, it will take place in a Major League stadium and that was the scene of the past World Baseball Classic 2023.
Present at the press conference were Caroline O’Connor, President of the Miami Marlins, David Oxfeld, Commercial Director of the Miami Marlins, Chema Sánchez, Business Development Manager of the Miami Marlins, David Salayandia, President of Probeis and Sara Loarte , Director of the Organizing Committee of the Series, who have traveled to the participating countries to promote in advance the very special and long-awaited event. The group recently visited the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Nicaragua and Puerto Rico.
This series will bring together the champion professional baseball teams of the tournaments of the passes that make up the Caribbean Professional Baseball Confederation: Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Venezuela and the invited passes Nicaragua, Curaçao, Panama.
