The Cantù group is complete. On Friday evening, the second American from Cantù, the long Solomon Young, also landed at Malpensa, with a flight arriving from Amsterdam. The American is back from an excellent season in the Bundesliga, at Bamberg. Now coach Sacchetti can therefore work fully, all the players are available.
Preparation began on Friday and will take place between the PalaBlackCourth of Albate and, for a few days in the morning, also at the Montesolaro sports centre, thanks to the availability of the sports club of the Brianza town. The players will also train outdoors in the next few days, always in the morning, the first day of rest will be next Sunday.
These are the first impressions after a few training sessions from the athletic trainer Luciano D’Ancicco: «I found the boys ready, they followed the training program we sent them in the summer. The first day of training went well, the team was full and there was a great desire to restart. Now, starting from the next few days we will begin to gradually increase the workloads to be ready for the start of the championship».
Acqua S.Bernardo will continue its preparation until August 30th when the departure for the Bormio mini-retreat is scheduled. The team will face the first two friendlies in Valtellina, on 1 September against Germani Brescia and the following day against Sam Massagno. On the 6th, challenge in Casnate against Trento for the “Trofeo degli Angeli”.
First official home match on 9 September in the Super Cup against Casale Monferrato.
