Candice Cadronet and her brother Nathan, who started shooting at the Archer-club of Longwy and whose parents Valérie and Sébastien live in Haucourt-Moulaine, took part in the Individual and Team World University Archery Championships compound in Chengdu (China), in order to compete for the world title.

Nathan, 23, licensed in Suresnes, the eldest of the siblings, finished in a meritorious twentieth place in the individual competition out of forty-two participants. On the other hand by teams, associated with the Grenoblois Rémy Albanese and Victor Bouleau, licensed in Chauny (Aisne), the harvest was better. The French trio lost in the final against China, winning a nice silver medal in the process.

As for her sister Candice, 19 years old and licensed in Chauny, in the individual competition, she took a meritorious nineteenth place during the qualifications. During the mixed event, associated with Victor Bouleau, the duo succumbed in the quarter-final against India, thus failing at the foot of the podium.
