Bayern Boss Dreesen hints at Transfers, Turbulent Days ahead for FC Bayern

Those are interesting statements!

Today FC Bayern introduced the new keeper Daniel Peretz (23). At the press conference, Bayern boss Jan-Christian Dreesen (55) also spoke about the “Holding Six” debate and Benjamin Pavard (27), who was willing to change.

One thing is clear: There will be turbulent days on Säbener Straße until the end of the transfer window (September 1st).

Bayern boss Dreesen hints at the transfer of Tuchel

The debate about the so-called “Holding Six” – i.e. a defensively thinking, protective six – does not let Bayern go. Coach Thomas Tuchel said yesterday on the DAZN microphone: “We only have three midfielders at the moment. It’s definitely risky if something happens when someone’s suspended or injured.”

He countered statements by Honorary President Uli Hoeneß (71) in the “Welt am Sonntag”, who said: “We believe that the squad is first-class.”

Now it seems as if Dreesen coach Tuchel wants to fulfill his wish!

The Bayern boss when asked whether something else was happening in the “Holding Six” position: “Fortunately we still have a few days until September 1st. Until then I would ask for patience. We are in a permanent exchange. You asked me if I could shed some light on this. I think it will remain a bit dark for the next few days.”

According to BILD information, a hot candidate is Scott McTominay (26/Manchester United). The Scot played less for the Red Devils last season than before. In return, Ryan Gravenberch (21/Liverpool is interested) could be loaned to Manchester.

With Benjamin Pavard (27), an important defensive star is about to jump. He was absent against Augsburg due to nausea and back problems. Before the game, Thomas Tuchel confirmed for the first time that the Frenchman had asked for his move.

He returned to training on Monday. Nevertheless, the signs point to change. This is also indicated by Dreesen’s words when asked by BILD: “Benjamin was not in training for the last few days, he was not doing so well. He had stomach pains and back problems. We still have a few days and I’m quite confident that we can close this issue by the end of the transfer window.”

Inter Milan are said to be ahead in the race for Pavard and have already made an offer of €30m plus bonuses.

One thing is certain: Bayern will only let Pavard go if it has been clarified internally how the right-back position will be filled! This can happen with a newcomer or within the squad, for example if Konrad Laimer (26/came from Leipzig on a free transfer) takes the place after he was substituted on in the 3-1 win over Augsburg.

The next few days will be turbulent for those responsible for Bayern.
