Austria Wien are loaning a striker from Hoffenheim

Shortly before the end of the transfer window, Wiener Austria found a replacement for striker Haris Tabakovic. The Bundesliga club is loaning Fisnik Asllani from TSG Hoffenheim for the 2023/24 season. Both clubs announced this on Thursday.

The 21-year-old has made ten “Joker” appearances in the German Bundesliga so far. Asllani scored 14 goals in 22 games for Hoffenheim’s second team in the fourth division last season.

“I’m really happy to be here and can’t wait to play in front of the fans on Sunday, I’ve only heard good things about it. For me it’s now about playing my way into the team in order to get as many appearances as possible and to help the club with goals,” said Asllani.

The 1.88 m tall center forward from Berlin is scheduled to start training with the “Veilchen” on Friday and replace Tabakovic, who has moved to Hertha BSC in the second German division. Asllani scored three goals in seven games for the German U20 national team. A few weeks ago, Wiener Austria signed another attacker free of charge in Alexander Schmidt.
