The 9 de Julio and Deportivo Juventud clubs are advancing with important sports infrastructure works in their respective properties.
The 9 de Julio club, located in the southeast area of the city, completed the first stage of its project with the construction of a sports shed that will house the practice of disciplines such as volleyball, basketball, and handball, among others.
Work is expected to continue in the coming days with the second stage, which includes a new enclosure for the club, bathrooms, changing rooms, installation of LED lighting, installation of the sprinkler irrigation system on its 11-a-side soccer field, among other interventions.
“These works are very important for all the kids who visit and play sports at our institution every day. We are very grateful to Mr. Raúl Jalil for the support he constantly gives us and we hope that he can be re-elected as governor to continue carrying out this type of work, ”said Pío Arévalo, president of the club.
Deportivo Juventud, for its part, is also advancing with a mega-project for the comprehensive renovation of its facilities and the restroom and changing room stage is almost complete.
The president of the institution, Mario Tejeda, explained that in the coming weeks they hope to complete the bathrooms and changing rooms to advance with the demolition of the old bathrooms and changing rooms where three basketball courts will be built.
In addition to the three basketball courts, the construction project includes three floors with spaces for artistic gymnastics, gymnasium, judo, among other disciplines. Another space for the administrative and canteen sector is also projected.
During a tour of the club facilities, the candidate for governor for Unión por la Patria, Raúl Jalil, along with national legislator Guillermo Andrada, congratulated the representatives of the institutions and urged them to continue working on improving the sports infrastructure that could contain more boys and girls every day.
