What did you think of the Clásico?
It has been an even match. In many moments we have enjoyed possession, and we like that; more against a rival against Madrid. If you review the squad, right now Madrid is the most physical rival in the world. So sometimes we have had the ball and other times we have suffered. It is about accumulating minutes, but this is a Classic. We haven’t played a super game, there are things to improve. Madrid has a larger squad than ours. More physical, more technical players. We have tried to impose our football but we have to improve more things. We were not so bad on the last day, nor are we so good now. I’m happy, a great show has been seen.
Will Fermín have continuity in the first team?
-He is a footballer that I like. He has an arrival, he has a last pass and he sees it. He has a shot from outside the area and talent. So it’s up to him. I have no complexes in putting home players, none. Fermín has talent. He drives both legs. He can play in both midfield profiles, as a left winger. He is hungry and eager. And when I see that in training, I give minutes. I always tell them that it depends on his mentality. You have to give the player confidence and I like what I see. And today he has made a difference. He could help us a lot next season.
To what extent have you conveyed to the president and Mateu how important Dembélé is; is he afraid that he will come out?
Ousmane Dembélé has the potential to be the best in the world. He is capital to me. He is happy, he looks happy. He gives me confidence. But we cannot control the market. It is a player’s decision, I see him very happy, highly adapted. Since we have arrived he has told us that he is happy. He is very different. The market is 31. Many things can happen. Hopefully we can strengthen ourselves further. We lack. The sports management knows it and the president knows it. Despite the result and the euphoria, we need something more.
