Udinese has formalized the purchase of defender Christian Kabasele, 32, who has signed a contract until 30 June 2025. He arrives in Friuli from Watford, in the umpteenth transfer in recent years between the two companies owned by the Pozzo family. The Belgian footballer, of Congolese origins, had been a player in the London team since the summer of 2016: he played several times in the Premier League and also played in an FA Cup final.
Last season he played 25 times in the Championship, scoring one goal. In total, he wore the Watford shirt on 166 occasions, scoring 7 goals in the span of 7 seasons lived with the yellow and black club. Kabasele played two games for the senior Belgium national team making his debut on 9 November 2016 in a 1-1 friendly draw against the Netherlands in which he remained on the pitch for the entire match.
