Coach Jiri Vanek and top player Petra Kvitova have entered into marriage
Good news from ex-world number two Petra Kvitova: The top Czech player married her longtime partner Jiri Vanek this weekend. On Sunday, she shared a beautiful photo of the two newly married couples on Twitter with the short and sweet information: “Mr and Mrs”.
In recent years, Vanek has not only been Kvitova’s partner in private matters, but also the mastermind behind her numerous sporting successes. The fact that the top athlete and her trainer want to enter into the sacred bond of marriage was announced in August last year with an engagement.
For a total of seven years, the former tennis pro (highest career placing 74th in October 2000) has been training the two-time Wimbledon winner, who can now look back on 31 tournament victories on the WTA tour.
Before marrying Vanek, the East Moravian was a couple with Czech ice hockey professional Radek Meidl. Before that, Kvitova had a liaison with ex-tennis professional Radek Stepanek.
