Tour de France: Adam Yates is getting closer to the podium, Ciccone at polka dots … the rankings after the 15th stage

A day for nothing in the fight for the yellow jersey. But if Jonas Vingegaard (Jumbo-Visma) maintained his ten-second lead over Tadej Pogacar (UAE-Emirates) on Sunday during the fifteenth stage between Les Gets and Saint-Gervais Mont-Blanc in the Alps, won by Wout Poels ( Bahrain-Victorious). But the Slovenian’s teammate, Adam Yates, took advantage of the last ascent of the day to approach 19 seconds from third place occupied by Carlos Rodriguez (Ineos-Grenadiers). David Gaudu (Groupama-FDJ) is ninth more than 14 minutes behind Vingegaard.

The only notable change: the polka dot jersey leaves the shoulders of the leader of the general classification to join those of the Italian Giulio Ciccone (Lidl-Trek). Present in the breakaway this Sunday, he joins the American Neilson Powless (EF Education – Easy Post) at the top of the mountain classification but ahead of him for the benefit of the order of passage in the most difficult passes of the race.
