The youngest all-time heavyweight world champion had thus released a real madness in the 80s by becoming the proud owner… of a white tiger, just that.

In fact, it’s worth noting that “Kid Dynamite” even had three white tigers named Boris, Storm, and Kenya. Suffice to say that on the ethical level, it remained very debatable but it was nothing compared to the logistical aspect of the thing. As he happened to travel, the former boxer took them with him and had to be careful not to get in trouble with the law while crossing the American states.

However, it was not only on the move that Tyson sometimes had difficulty reconciling his luxurious life… with the reality of everyday life, especially concerning his neighborhood. A few months ago, the legend had shared a completely crazy anecdote about Kenya, which would have simply crippled a neighbor in a drunken state who had come too close to the feline:
Mike Tyson : Once, we had to take him to Texas. The trainer knew the tigress and he played with her. And this drunk woman came out of her house, she wanted to play with her because she was cute like, “Oh, she’s doing well.” And she ripped his whole hand off. In fact, she had never been mad at me before, she had never been mad at anyone in her life.
And then this woman found herself there, and had her hand ripped off. She sued me and she lost, she lost the case. But I gave her $200,000 anyway, because she was screwed. So I said, “You can keep the money.”
Indeed, it’s a way of seeing things… Note that it was only a few years later that “Iron Mike” had to part with his tigers, after one of them tried to eat a neighbor’s dog.
Admittedly, having a tiger as a pet is not one of the brightest ideas from Mike Tyson, especially when you live close to other homes. On the other hand, one wonders what fly had stung this lady to want to play with such a predator, even while intoxicated…
