The Phoenix Suns Trade Cameron Payne to the San Antonio Spurs and Sign Bol Bol

The Phoenix Suns have traded Cameron Payne, along with a second-round pick and financial considerations, to the San Antonio Spurs for a future second-round pick, according to Adrian Wojnarowski ofESPN.

Wojnarowski also reports that the Suns signed Bol Bol to a one-year, fully guaranteed contract. They would also have sent a 2026 first-round pick to the Orlando Magic in return for three second-round picks.

Payne, 28, spent the past four seasons with the Suns and averaged 10.3 points, 2.2 rebounds and 4.5 assists in 48 games in 2022-23. Payne was selected 14th overall by the Oklahoma City Thunder in the 2015 draft. In 327 NBA games with the Suns, Thunder, Chicago Bulls and Cleveland Cavaliers, he averaged 8 points, 2.2 rebounds and 3.4 assists.

Bol was placed on waivers by the Magic after finishing last season averaging 9.1 points, 5.8 rebounds and 1.2 blocks per game in 70 games. Now 23, he was originally picked in the second round by the Miami Heat in 2019.
