What speaks for a transfer to Leverkusen?
The national striker would like to play internationally next season and would like to recommend himself in the Bundesliga for the home European Championship in 2024. So far there has only been one offer from Florence, which, however, does not meet both criteria. An offer from Leverkusen, which after the commitments of Jonas Hofmann (30) and Granit Xhaka (30) has what it takes to be a Bayern hunter and will play in the Europa League next season, would therefore be much more interesting for him than that from Italy.
From a club perspective, an obligation would make sense. Leverkusen need an experienced striker who can guarantee goals straight away, ideally take them to the training camp in Saalfelden/Austria (July 23rd to 28th) – and who is affordable.
