Japanese tennis player Naomi Osaka has given birth to her first child. In her Instagram account on Thursday, the former world number one posted a photo of a baby on her lap and the words: “Well that was a cool little break, now back to your regular program.” There are small tennis rackets on the baby’s romper and see tennis balls.
In January, Osaka and her boyfriend Cordae, a rapper from the United States, made the pregnancy of the four-time Grand Slam tournament winner public. In June, Osaka announced that the couple was expecting a daughter. Osaka, 25, has not competed in a WTA tournament since withdrawing from a tournament in Tokyo in September. But she wants to start again at the Australian Open next year.
