The Suns have reached an agreement with free agent Eric Gordon, according to The Athletic journalist Shams Charania.
The shooting guard had multiple suitors and received more lucrative offers to join one of the top contenders for the 2024 championship, Charania adds. Among the other teams that had shown interest in him were the Milwaukee Bucks and the Golden State Warriors.
Gordon became a free agent when the Clippers refused to guarantee his $20.9 million salary for next season.
The Clippers had luxury tax issues and decided to offer Gordon’s minutes to their younger players.
