The Spurs have done with Cameron Payne via transfer. The Suns send Payne and a second-round draft to San Antonio and receive a second-round draft in return, according to reports Adrian Wojnarowski (ESPN).
Payne’s contract for next season, $6.5 million, had recently been guaranteed.
The deal saves the Suns $26.4 million in luxury tax and also gives the Arizona team a $6.5 million trade exception.
Cameron Payne is 28 years old, has spent 8 seasons in the NBA, of which the last 4 were spent in Phoenix, and he averaged 10.3 points and 4.5 assists last season.
