Noa Lang Completes Transfer to PSV, Becoming Club’s Most Expensive Purchase

It was equally clear that Noa Lang would close the gates of the Jan Breydel Stadium behind him. The attacker himself left no doubt about it last month: “Fair is fair. It is high time for me to leave Belgium,” he said.

Lang kept all options open, including a return to the Netherlands. PSV – with new coach Peter Bosz at the helm – soon had his eye on the spry attacker.

The club from Eindhoven has been waiting for a new national title since 2018, in the past three seasons it has always ended up in second place. With the arrival of Lang, it reinforces its title ambitions.

Lang has played at Club Brugge since 2020: first he was rented from Ajax, then a final transfer followed. The Dutch international scored 38 goals and 34 assists in 125 matches. In 2021 and 2022 he celebrated two national titles in a row with blue-black.

Noa Lang is happy with his transfer to PSV. “It’s been an exciting few weeks, but I’m very happy that everything is now complete,” he said. “I am hungry for prizes and I want to be very important for the team.”

According to sporting director Earnest Stewart, Lang is a perfect fit for PSV: “Noa is a player who fits our playing style and our philosophy. His creativity, dribbling skills and goal-oriented approach make him a valuable addition to the existing selection.”

PSV is deep in its pockets for Lang, because he is the most expensive purchase in club history. Recently it also paid 10 million euros for attacker Ricardo Pepi van Augsburg.
