Nick Cassidy wins the last race of the season in Formula E

Unhappy on Saturday during the first round in London, where he had been forced to retire, Nick Cassidy consoled himself with a victory in the second race on Sunday, which was also the last of the season. The New Zealander (Envision) won in the British capital the day after the coronation of Jake Dennis (Andretti), who became Formula E world champion for the first time in his career.

On a wet track, Cassidy crossed the finish line 4”9 ahead of Mitch Evans (Jaguar) and 16”2 over Dennis, author of the fastest lap in the race. Frenchman Norman Nato (Nissan) took a good 4th place. His teammate Sacha Fenestraz (Nissan) ranked 15th, while Jean-Eric Vergne (DS Penske) brought up the rear (22nd).

In the final standings, Dennis is in the lead ahead of Cassidy, who took 2nd place on the wire, and Evans. Further behind during the last E-Prix, Vergne is still in 5th place over the year. Cassidy’s success in London cemented Envision, who finished top of the team standings ahead of Jaguar and Andretti.
