Newcomer Rasta Vechta has brought the NBA-experienced basketball pro Wes Iwundu to the German Bundesliga. The 28-year-old American signed a one-year contract in Vechta, the club announced on Friday. Iwundu played a total of 236 games in the world’s top league for the Orlando Magic, the Dallas Mavericks and the Atlanta Hawks. Vechta is now his first foreign station.
“It’s really not easy to get into the NBA and assert yourself there,” said Rasta trainer Ty Harrelson. “Wes came from a very good college and only performed once in the NBA. Now he wants to try something new and perform here.”
