Naomi Pozo Flores Wins Third National Judo Championship at Games Conade 2023

The young woman from Cancun Iliana Naomi Pozo Flores, was proclaimed national champion in judo for the third time by winning the gold medal, just on the last day of activities of the Games Conade 2023.

Pozo’s victory meant for the state of Quintana Roo the gold medal number 64 in the general panorama.

Naomi Flores competed in the under 61 kilos division of the Under-21 categorywhere she beat the Jalisco Yamileth Juarez.

The athlete belongs to the High Performance State Sports Center (CEDAR) from Cancun and achieved his victory with the support of his coaches Dayma Beltran and Denys Secada

“Naomi (Pozo) is a young woman with a lot of determination, who in her history as an athlete has won six medals in this national fair and that must be recognized, we applaud her dedication and it is a source of pride for us,” he commented. Eric Arcila Arjonapresident of the Commission for Youth and Sports of Quintana Roo (COJUDEQ).

He achieved his fifth national championship, since he also achieved the oro in the 2016 and 2018 editions of the fair

Later in three consecutive years, he rose as monarch in the Nuevo León Nationals 2021, Sonora 2022 and now in Tabasco 2023, in addition to a silver in 2019, achieving a total of six medals for his personal account.
