Lucio Barbosa Appointed as Interim CEO of Vasco da Gama SAF, Replacing Luiz Mello

Vasco informed, in an official note this Tuesday morning (25), that Lucio Barbosa was named interim CEO of Vasco da Gama SAF and will replace Luiz Mello. The now former CEO will begin the transition to an executive role at 777 Football Group on 1 August.

Barbosa has been Chief Financial Officer of Vasco da Gama SAF since 2022. He has more than 20 years of experience and professional background in multinational companies such as Apple, GE Energy, KPMG, Deloitte and Ceptis.

“777 Partners announces today that Lucio Barbosa has been appointed interim CEO of Vasco da Gama SAF. He replaces Luiz Mello, who will begin the transition to an executive role at 777 Football Group on 1 August.

Barbosa, who has served as Chief Financial Officer of Vasco da Gama SAF since 2022, has over 20 years of experience leading large teams in multinational companies, including Apple, GE Energy, KPMG, Deloitte and Ceptis.
