Los Angeles Lakers Set to Pursue Free Agent Kevin Love for 2023-24 Season

Planning for the 2023-24 season of the Los Angeles Lakers has already started with some payroll cuts and now the idea is to reinforce the roster with free agents that perform and help the team go to the playoffs again.

One of the players that LeBron James — as long as he stays with the team — would love to have in the second unit would be Kevin Love, who is on the market and could come to the Lakers at little cost.

Love, who would add hierarchy to the team’s boards, won the NBA title in 2016 with LeBron in the Cleveland Cavaliers, so it would be a very welcome reception for the “King”, who is still pondering whether to continue in the NBA in the Lakers or in another organization that allows him to compete for one more championship, especially at the end of his career.

“The Lakers are looking at which players they can add and Kevin Love is an option. Tristan Thompson, Wenyen Gabriel and Troy Brown are also candidates,” said Dan Woike of the Los Angeles Times.

Love played 62 games in the regular season in the uniforms of the Cavaliers and the Miami Heat, averaging 8.2 points, 6.4 rebounds, 38.9% shooting from the field and 33.4% 3-pointers.
