Cavaliers Acquire Max Strus in Sign-and-Trade with Heat and Spurs

While the Cavaliers extended Caris LeVert and then signed George Niang, they just signed one of the most courted outsiders this offseason.

This is Max Strus, one of the revelations of the Heat, who will commit for 63 million dollars over four years. To recover it, ESPN reveals that Cleveland has set up a “sign-and-trade” with Miami, and… San Antonio.

So, Cavaliers send Cedi Osman and Lamar Stevens to Spurs, while the Heat only recovers a second round of Draft. Which means that Miami lost Gabe Vincent and Max Strus in a few hours, but also Victor Oladipo. No doubt that Pat Riley, who couldn’t offer much to the Vincent-Strus duo, is preparing for a big blow…

For now, Miami has simply extended Kevin Love, and brought back Josh Richardson.
