ADMIRAL Bundesliga side LASK, third in the table last season, won the test match against ADMRIAL second division side FC Flyeralarm Admira 5:2 (3:1). After falling behind in the meantime, Marin Ljubicic, debutant Lenny Pintor and Filip Stojkovic turn the game around before the break. Debutants Moussa Koné and Gabriel Zirngast score the goals after a change of sides.
The longest-serving LASK player Peter Michorl and the athletes sparkled with zest for action during the test gallop against the Panthers from the southern part of the city.
Remaining after 17 minutes
In the second practice gallop of the summer preparation, LASK received FC Admira in the voestalpine stadium in Pasching. Compared to the first test against Pregarten, the new signings Lenny Pintor, Moussa Koné and Elias Havel played for the first time, and Marin Ljubicic was also part of the game.
However, the guests scored the first goal of the game. Mamana Badji tried a direct acceptance after a fist defense by Tobias Lawal and put the ball into the goal with an arc lamp (17th). The game was turned around 8 minutes later: Lenny Pintor got the ball after an attack from the right in the penalty area and sank the ball unstoppable under the crossbar – the 22-year-old winger celebrated his debut goal. Three minutes later, the training work of the standard department paid off: A corner kick landed at the spot-on Filip Stojkovic, who only had to push in at the second post (36′).
Debut and joker goal in round 2
In the second round, a completely renewed LASK-Elf ran out, Elias Havel and Moussa Koné also made their debuts in black and white. Once again it was Admira who scored the first goal: Martin Krienzer appeared alone in front of Jörg Siebenhandl and scored – albeit only on the second try – the goal (59th). Twenty minutes before the end, Yannis Letard came on for Ivan Ljubic: The central defender celebrated his long-awaited comeback after a cruciate ligament rupture.
LASK restored their two-goal lead in the 77th minute thanks to a great combination: Husein Balic headed a Moses Usor cross to Moussa Koné, who netted from close range – debut goal number two. Joker Gabriel Zirngast marked the end: The youngster scored three minutes after being substituted on – again after a Balic assist – to make it 5:2.
“Defensively we allowed too much, we will analyze that”
LASK Neo head coach Thomas Sageder on the game: “The game was a successful conclusion to an intensive week of training in which the boys invested a lot. I’m particularly happy about the two debut goals and the standard goal. We still allowed too much defensively, we will analyze that and draw the appropriate conclusions for the coming weeks.”
