“Right now I have been training but no longer with a view to a process, nor to the Olympic Games, simply for my fun and love of sport, it is a discipline that I love with all my heart, so whenever I can I practice.”

Recalling his time in the sport that took him to the top in the Olympic and World Cup Games, he commented “I am very satisfied with what I have achieved, having left a measure, a high rod, for having put a watershed with archery, since 2007 and 2008, and that has built our discipline a lot.”

He added “I have my own academy in the city of Tuxtla Gutiérrez, and we are looking to expand.” Questioned if Tabasco is an option, he does not rule it out “that is what we are doing, keeping an eye on it.”

The former national team is considered a historic along with Aida Rompan, in archery where they added many podiums in international events of a global nature. In Tokyo 2021, the 39-year-old from Jalisco returns to the Olympic Games and did so as a commentator on a Mexican television station.
