Another busy season for JAB Judo! And as for more than fifty years, it ends with a month of June rich in events.
First of all, it was a bus full of life that took the children and their accompanying parents to tree climbing in the Lesponne valley and visit the caves of Médous.
The following Saturday, after graduation in the morning, the children gathered around a picnic. At 2:00 p.m., the parents joined them and the presentation of the belts began. Some disappointed, of course, but many young “cabilats” left with the precious sesame around the waist.
After the general assembly, parents, children, teachers and members of the office met around a snack made by the parents. Thanks to them.
To celebrate the club’s 50th anniversary, Ugo Legrand, Olympic medalist at the London Olympics, did us the honor of coming to our dojo for training… as a champion.
The judokas from Bordeaux were able to take photos with this friendly champion and have their belts, T-shirts and other judogis signed. Mayor Jérôme Crampe, accompanied by Sophie Drapier, 1st deputy in charge of associations, congratulated Ugo Legrand for his presence and his record, as well as all the leaders and teachers of the club for their commitment to children and their desire to transmit values of sharing and respect…
They presented them with a trophy for this anniversary, a mark of remarkable longevity. A commemorative plaque of this moment was unveiled by the mayor and Ugo Legrand, in the presence of the children, their parents and all the staff of the club.
Last event of the month of June, the participation of the JAB Judo in the sports festival organized on the stadium by the town hall and the schools of Bordères. 470 students participated in several of the 14 workshops. A great success!
Place for the holidays, but it is motivated that we will meet you in September for a new season.
