Indianapolis Colts Rookie QB Anthony Richardson Undergoes Nose Surgery, Could Miss Practice

WESTFIELD, Ind. – Indianapolis Colts rookie quarterback Anthony Richardson missed practice on Monday and could also miss Tuesday following nose surgery.

Prior to practice, the team announced that Richardson underwent surgery to correct the septum in his nasal passages. Richardson was selected fourth overall in the last NFL Draft.

The Colts players were scheduled to participate in a first practice with full equipment on Monday.

It was unclear whether Richardson would miss more than the first two practices of the week.

Richardson’s absence comes as the Colts and 2021 NFL rushing point guard Jonathan Taylor are embroiled in a contract dispute.

Taylor still hasn’t practiced despite reporting to Colts camp on Tuesday. His name was placed on the list of players physically unable to play. Taylor had ankle surgery during the offseason.
