The TEROPONG ISTANA YouTube channel recently uploaded a video claiming that the President of FIFA recognized Anies Baswedan as a future leader after witnessing the sophistication of the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS).
However, after viewing the video, there is no footage of Anies Baswedan showing off JIS’ sophistication, and no footage of the FIFA President recognizing Anies as Indonesia’s future leader.
Furthermore, the narration in the video is actually identical to the article uploaded by Media Indonesia with the title “PSSI Will Propose JIS to Be One of the 2023 U-17 World Cup Stadiums.” The article published on 4 July 2023 explained that PSSI Chairman, Erick Thohir, planned to propose JIS to FIFA as one of the stadiums to be used for the 2023 U-17 World Cup.
The renovation of a number of stadium evaluation records, starting from accessibility, grass quality, to supporting transportation, will be carried out by the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR), DKI Jakarta Provincial Government, PT KAI, and Jasa Marga.
Thus, the claim in the video stating that the President of FIFA recognizes Anies Baswedan as a future leader based on JIS’ appearance is inaccurate. The video does not provide information that matches the claim, and the source of the claim is actually related to PSSI’s plan to propose JIS as one of the stadiums for the 2023 U-17 World Cup.
