“While most of the media attention is directed to the Made in Italy project on Mars and to the interplanetary mission for the transfer to the red planet of a machine capable of producing manufactured articles using the resources present on Mars, the Joint Initiative softly recalls that in our country 10 million people live in poverty”. This is the comment of Common initiativewith a renewed guise in acronym EUROMÒ — Free men for Italy and Europe conducted by the Cooperation and Proposals group led by Carmela Tiso and the spokesperson Attilio Arbia. The political-social reality, founded by Rocco Tiso, therefore underlines: “Specifically, according to some authoritative estimates relating to the year 2021, just over 1.9 million families and about 5.6 million would be in a state of absolute poverty of individuals. We are faced with numbers that the Common Initiative considers alarming and of an unheard of seriousness, to which are added thousands of businesses, choked by billions of debts, which risk swelling the ranks of poverty with serious consequences for employment of around 3 million of people. How can we act, therefore, to improve the economic and financial fortunes of our fellow citizens? If, on the one hand, funding for welfare and social purposes must be increased, on the other, the national government should work more concretely in the public education and employment sectors, given and considering that the incidence of absolute poverty decreases as the title increases of study of the reference person of the family and where there are several members in the family unit who have an occupation. Evidently a simple axiom but one that “our” politicians have often failed to materialize. On the contrary, will the Meloni government succeed? At stake is the social and economic future of our country as well as the revival of our production system. Must hurry”.
