Czech Tennis Players Dominate ATP and ITF Tournaments

Dalibor Svrčina won a place in the semi-finals at the challenger in Tampere, Finland. He beat Slovakian tennis player Lukáš Klein for the third time in a row. Roman Jebavý and Petr Nouza failed in the semi-final doubles match at the ATP tournament in Gstaad, Switzerland against Dominic Stricker and Stan Wawrinka. In short, Dalibor Svrčina (193rd) can do it against Slovakian tennis player Lukáš Klein (155th). After two wins in the semi-final matches in Prostějov (2022 and 2023), the Czech tennis player stepped on his opponent and challenger in Tampere, where he defeated him 7:6(5) and 6:1.

In the first set, he lost 2:5 and faced a set point, but managed to turn it around to 6:5, after which he had two set points in his serve. Although he did not use them and had to decide by tiebreak, he won 7:5 and thus broke Klein’s resistance. He conquered the second set with a string of five games in just 26 minutes.

In the semi-finals, the 20-year-old Svrčina will face the unseeded German Henri Squire (305th).

Bejlek spent 14 minutes on the court
The quarterfinals of the ITF tournament in Parno, Estonia, between Sára Bejlek (188th) and Martha Matoulaová (332nd) from Greece lasted just 14 minutes. The Czech tennis player, who fulfills the role of seeded number one, won all five games played, after which Matoulaová decided to scratch the duel.

Jebavý and Nouza did not make it to the finals in Gstaad
Roman Jebavý and Petr Nouza, who made his debut on the ATP circuit in Gstaad, Switzerland, finished in the semi-finals of the doubles. The domestic duo of Dominic Stricker and Stan Wawrinka were stronger than the Czech pair, who won 6:3, 7:6(6).

In the second set, although Jebavý and Nouza broke into a 4:2 lead, they immediately lost the advantage of the break. In the course of the second set, they worked out four more set points on the return, but they did not use any of them, and in the tiebreak, Stricker and Wawrinka did not face another threat.

Siniakov did not make it to the semi-finals in Telfs
Daniel Siniakov (1089th) couldn’t find a recipe for the seventh-seeded Peter Heller (567th) in Telfs, Austria, and is byeing in the quarterfinals. The Czech tennis player lost in Friday’s match in one hour and four minutes 1:6, 0:6.

Rosol also finished in Telfs
First-seeded Lukáš Rosol (351st) at the Austrian ITF tournament in Telfs could not find a recipe for the game of home Sandro Kopp (414th). With the tournament’s number six, he lost in two sets 4:6, 2:6.
