On the Přerov clay, the ITF women’s tournament with a subsidy of 60,000 US dollars continued on the second day of play. At the Zubr Cup, the two-round qualification first culminated, from which Aneta Laboutková and Vendula Valdmannová advanced. After that, the main competition started, which has a rich Czech participation. Favored Julie Štruplová managed a duel against compatriot Kristýna Tomajková, second seed Gabriela Knutsonová also succeeded. Tereza Smitková and Dominika Šalková will not finish their duel due to darkness until Wednesday. Ivana Šebestová and Anna Sisková said goodbye to the tournament today.

Štruplová dealt with Tomajková
Julie Štruplová (336th) confirmed the assumptions on paper in the first round of the Zubr Cup when she defeated wild card holder Kristýna Tomajková (1390th) 6:4 and 6:2. In the match between the two 18-year-old Czechs, Štruplová won seven times on the return, so she didn’t have to regret losing four of her own serves.

Valdmannová qualified for the main competition!
Fifteen-year-old Vendula Valdmannová (-) will play the main competition at an international women’s tournament for the second time in her career. The talented Czech managed to qualify for the Zubr Cup final on Tuesday, where she defeated the Mexican María José Portillo (606th) after an hour and 12 minutes 6:1, 1:6 and 6:3.

Laboutková also passed the qualification
Aneta Laboutková (579th) became the second Czech qualifier at the Zubr Cup in Přerov. The 23-year-old Czech won the final round of qualification after two hours and 44 minutes 2:6, 6:4 and 6:2.
