Over the last two months, hundreds of competitions corresponding to the 2023 Conade National Games have been held, but after extensive and arduous activity, only four disciplines remain to be held.
For this 2023 edition, the sporting events took place in five different states, which were Jalisco, Morelos, Nayarit, Tabasco and Aguascalientes, although the main venue was the city of Villahermosa in southern Mexico.
The disciplines that took place in Aguascalientes, Jalisco, Morelos and Nayarit already ended a couple of weeks ago, so only the competitions that are held in the capital of Tabasco remain; some of them will end this weekend, while others are yet to be played.
The disciplines that are being held at the moment and that will end this Sunday and Monday are judo and taekwondo, respectively. Once these disciplines are finished, only basketball and athletics will remain to finally conclude this edition of the Conade Nationals.
Basketball will take place from July 4 to 8 and on this occasion only one team from Aguascalientes was able to advance to the final phase.
For its part, athletics will be the one that closes the curtain on the national competition with a large number of tests from July 16 to 24, where 10 athletes from Aguascalientes will try to add the last medals for the state of good people.
At the moment, the Aguascalientes delegation is located in tenth place in the medal table with more than 130 metals, of which 38 are gold. Despite the fact that more medals can still be added for our state, it is very likely that Aguascalientes will not rise further in the medal table because the difference with gold medals is almost 10 with respect to the ninth and eighth place.
However, last year a record of 125 medals was reached and in 2023 this mark was already exceeded by far, which speaks of the good work done by the Aguascalientes State Sports Institute.
