Basketball cup winners Bayern Munich have signed former NBA pro Carsen Edwards for the coming season. The club announced this on Friday.
The 25-year-old guard played a total of 72 NBA games for the Detroit Pistons and the Boston Celtics. Last season he played for the Turkish EuroLeague top club Fenerbahce Istanbul.
“Carsen is a scoring machine and when he came to Europe everyone thought: wow. A great transfer,” said Bayern coach Pablo Laso: “It will be his second season in Europe and we are getting a versatile player who can fill different positions. He is creative and very aggressive on offense, strong and fast on defense. We expect a lot from him because he is someone who can hold his own against anyone.”
