Basketball: Kemba Walker, 4-time NBA All-Star, joins AS Monaco

It is a big name in the NBA who will discover and strengthen the Betclic Elite. AS Monaco, reigning French champion and winner of the Coupe de France last season, announced this Friday the American leader Kemba Walker (33), who has signed up for a season.

A true legend of the Charlotte Hornets franchise, where he spent 8 seasons (2011-2019) and where he is the all-time leading scorer with 12,009 points, Kemba Walker played last season, with less success (only 9 games, 8 points per game on average) with the Dallas Mavericks. After twelve seasons in the NBA between Charlotte, Boston, New York and Dallas, Walker will experience his very first experience away from American territory.

He will have, in total, played 750 games in the American championship, for an average of points per game of 19.3 and will, above all, have been part of the prestigious All-Stars four times (2017, 2018, 2019, 2020), a game which pits the best players in the Eastern and Western conferences against each other each season. The 1.83m and 83kg point guard is the fourth summer recruit of ASM, which has already welcomed three French internationals: rear-winger Terry Tarpey, pivot Mam Jaiteh and pivot Petr Cornelie, recently crowned European champion with Real Madrid.
