On Tuesday, the badminton club Les volants de la peninsula held its general meeting.
We are a recreational badminton club, which means that we do not participate in any competition. The goal is just to have fun, regardless of our age and our level of play. This is all the more true for adults who would hesitate to take the plunge, recalled the president, Stéphane Guillou.
The club currently has 37 members. Sessions are Tuesdays, 7:30-9:30 p.m. for adults, Fridays, 6:15-7:30 p.m. for children, and Fridays, 7:15-8:45 p.m., for teens. Two new instructors, Maïtena Merlé and Lili Carriou, will supervise the children, replacing Charlotte Péron and Lillo Donas.
The president would like to pass the baton, but the quorum of the general meeting not being reached, an extraordinary general meeting will be scheduled for the start of the school year, in September.
