Austria’s foil women finished 13th at the World Fencing Championships in Milan on Friday. After beating Chile 45:36, they lost 32:45 to Japan in the round of 16.
In the placement round, a 45:23 against Spain, a 28:45 against Ukraine and 45:24 against Hong Kong were noted. The Degen men, however, only ended up in 24th place. After a 45:24 victory over Kuwait, the 41:45 against China was the end of the line.
