Austria’s flagship doubles players Alexander Erler and Lucas Miedler made it into the quarter-finals of the ATP 250 event in Bastad with a 7:6(4), 7:6(3) against the duo Behar/Luz (BRA/URU).
However, the two Austrians have to work hard over long stretches, and one of the two teams manages to take the serve from their opponents ten times in the game. However, the decision is made twice in the tie-break, in which Miedler/Erler can finally show off their class.
In the next round, the winners from the match between Arends/Pel and Bergevi/Madaras (WC) are waiting.
