Ardentes: the opening of the site delayed because of the weather

In the opinion of the authorities, of all disciplines (police, firefighters, medical corps and communication) and of the organizers, the festival site will not open its doors at 12:30 p.m. as planned.

As a reminder, violent storms are expected this Sunday and may locally be accompanied by accumulations of 20 to 40 liters per square meter in one hour, or even very locally more. Hailstones up to 4 or 5 centimeters in diameter and strong gales of up to 90 km/h or more could cause damage.

Code orange

For now, the whole country – with the exception of West Flanders – is in code yellow from 1 p.m. to 1 a.m., and the provinces of Luxembourg, Liège, Namur and Limburg go into code orange from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. .

“Depending on the evolution of the situation, it is not excluded that other provinces will pass in the next hours in code orange or that the warning will be extended. In the west of the country, the risk is lower, but some heavy showers are not excluded either”, specifies the IRM.

The organization invited festival-goers to stay at home pending a decision from the authorities. The organizers also indicated on the festival application that there would be “more info for campers and festival-goers very soon”.

For this last day, Fresh, Central Cee, Booba or even DJ Snake were to perform. 65,000 people were expected.
