Ancelotti coach of Brazil from 2024 – Football

Carlo Ancelotti will be the coach of Brazil starting from the Copa America 2024, which will be played between June and July next year in the United States.
The coach will move into his new position once his contract with Real Madrid ends. The CBF, the Brazilian Football Federation, has confirmed that Fernando Diniz will lead the team until the arrival of Ancelotti.
The former AC Milan and Chelsea coach will become the first foreigner to coach Brazil for almost sixty years. Brazil’s last foreign manager was Argentinean Filpo Nunez, who led the national team for one game in 1965.
The 64-year-old Ancelotti won the Champions League twice in his coaching career with both Milan and Real Madrid. He has also won domestic league titles in England with Chelsea, in Germany with Bayern Munich and in France with Paris Saint-Germain, as well as with Real and Milan.
Brazil were coached at last year’s World Cup by Tite, who stepped down after their quarter-final elimination by Croatia. Since then the team has been led by Ramon Menezes.
The Brazilian Football Federation, the CBF, had announced that Fernando Diniz would be the team’s coach for next year. The 49-year-old will take charge of South America’s six qualifying matches for the 2026 World Cup this year, including matches against Argentina and Uruguay. Brazil will start qualifying in September at home to Bolivia and then away to Peru.
