AC Milan Signs Luka Romero, Continues Summer Transfer Market Activity

AC Milan has again announced the arrival of a new player in the summer of 2023. This time it is Luka Romero who has joined Rossoneri.

Milan is one of the Italian clubs that is active in the transfer market this time. The red devil has secured the services of Ruben Loftus-Cheek who was redeemed from Chelsea for 16 million euros.

Romero became the purchase of Milan’s second player. The Argentine midfielder was brought in from fellow Italian club, Lazio.

Luka Romero came to San Siro as a free agent. He was given a four-year contract at AC Milan.

“AC Milan is pleased to announce the recruitment of Luka Romero Bezzana. The Argentine midfielder has signed an agreement with the Club that lasts until 30 June 2027,” said AC Milan’s official statement, Thursday (6/7/2023) evening WIB.

Romero is a graduate of Spanish club Real Mallorca, who debuted there in 2020. The U-20 Argentina national team player was then recruited by Lazio in 2021.

At Lazio, Romero played 21 times and scored one goal. He has been tipped to become a star player in the future and had received a call-up to the Argentina senior team in March 2022, but has yet to make his debut until now.

At Milan, Luka Romero got a jersey with the number 18 back. This number has been vacant since Soualiho Meite left in the 2020/2021 season.

AC Milan is still hunting for other players in the transfer window. Rossoneri being linked with the purchase of Christian Pulisic from Chelsea.
