A minor is hospitalized for an overdose of fentanyl in Culiacán, Sinaloa – El Sol de México

Culiacán, Sinaloa.- A minor was taken to an emergency hospital in Culiacán, Sinaloa, after presenting a poisoning after allegedly consuming fentanyl along with another young man.

The 16-year-old teenager identified as Luis Alberto was at a home in the Santa Fe sector when he had symptoms caused by this powerful drug.

The authorities reported that it was around 2:00 p.m. when members of the Municipal Police went to the civil hospital upon receiving the report.

After reviewing the patient, medical personnel reported that it was a case of overdose due to ingestion, while no details were given about the other person who was with him about his state of health.

Luis Alberto is another minor who is intoxicated with this substance, as the number of people affected by fentanyl trafficking is increasing.

This entity has been targeted by the United States, since they accuse the Sinaloa Cartel of being a drug trafficking and money laundering organization that obtains chemical precursors from China for the manufacture of synthetic drugs such as fentanyl.

Members of this criminal organization are accused of repeatedly transporting not only lethal amounts of fentanyl, but also cocaine, heroin and methamphetamine.

That is why the drug easily reaches the hands of the population, especially young people.
